I am a product engineer at PumasAI.

I obtained a German medical license (TU and LMU Munich, 2013), a BSc and MSc in Mathematics (TU Munich, 2016 and 2017), and a PhD in Machine Learning (Uppsala University, 2023). The main focus of my PhD studies was uncertainty-aware deep learning. For my research I mainly used the Julia programming language.

I try to help improving the Julia ecosystem by contributing to a broad range of opensource Julia packages. Over the last few years I have been making major contributions to SciML, in particular to DelayDiffEq.jl, and to Turing.

Currently, I am a member of the steering council of SciML and the Turing team.
